In front of a small group that included representatives of “Purple Tuesday” Pakistan’s partner groups, Pakistan Seed Ventures and the British Deputy High Commission officially launched “Purple Tuesday” on Thursday at the UK embassy in Karachi.

Shaista Ayesha, Founder of Pakistan Seed Ventures, gave an overview of the partnership with “Purple Tuesday” for a social movement in Pakistan. “Purple Tuesday is an emerging global brand and social movement that advocates for communities and organizations working for disabled people and provides solutions to their problems,” she said.

A session where organisations and groups that work for disabled people shared their viewpoints was also part of the event. Instead than focusing on the “disabilities,” the workshop highlighted the “abilities” of those with disabilities. The conversation aimed to raise awareness about the value of helping those with disabilities who are coping with their impairments.

At the time, Shaista Ayesha stated that Seed Ventures supported all initiatives designed to improve the level of care and services provided to consumers with disabilities and their families. Customers with impairments should receive the same level of care, she argued.

“In order to effect a real change in society, we must work to improve things through effective measures for disabled people. This is Purple Tuesday’s major goal “She spoke.

The British diplomatic mission is dedicated to assisting Pakistan’s social development, according to Sarah Mooney, Deputy High Commissioner and Trade Director for Pakistan. In order to tackle their concerns, it is important to prioritise helping those who are impaired, she stated.

At the end of the session, British Deputy High Commissioner Sarah Mooney, KFC Pakistan Founder Raza Peerbai, KDSP Founder Samar Naqvi, Chief Human Resource NBP Asma Sheikh, Founder Binai Welfare Association Salman Elahi, The Express Tribune Marketing Team, and others were among the participants.
