On Friday, Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, praised the police for their work in removing terrorism from the nation and upholding law and order.

The prime minister praised the enormous sacrifices made by the police force in the line of duty while speaking at the 48th Specialized Training Program of the Police Service of Pakistan passing out a parade at the National Police Academy.

The prime minister expressed confidence that the police would live up to the expectations of the people and would never refrain from any sacrifice to maintain law and order. He underlined the need for a forensic lab and counterterrorism center to be established in the nation’s capital and suggested developing a project in this area.

He mentioned that the Counter-Terrorism Department and Punjab Science Agency were role model departments, which needed to be replicated in other parts of the country.

Additionally, he said that the academy’s faculty and personnel will get pay increases on pace with those of other police training facilities.

Although Pakistan was endowed with all resources, the prime minister regretted that it lagged behind the rest of the world in terms of advancement and development. The government’s commitment to advancing the nation’s growth and development was reiterated by the prime minister. He offered his congratulations to the parents and graduating officers. He also praised the academy’s faculty for teaching all police personnel the necessary skills.

Allah Dino Khawaja, the commandant of the National Police Academy, reported that 24 officers, including seven female officers, graduated from the institution. He said those officials who were passing out had been imparted training as per modern policing techniques and urged them to serve people professionally. He claimed that in order to prepare them for commanding cutting-edge police forces in the twenty-first century, training for new officers had been made to be both academically and physically demanding.

According to the Commandant NPA, personnel had received extensive training in forensic science, cybercrime, maintaining public order, investigations, and operations. The officers who excelled during the course received medals and shields from the prime minister. He presented ASP Anum Sher with an award for being the undertrained officer who performed the best overall.
