Sindh crowned champions of National T20 Cup after beating KP

At the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday, Sindh defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by eight wickets to win the National T20 Cup. This victory was made possible by outstanding batting performances from Sharjeel Khan and Saim Ayub as well as a four-wicket haul from Sohail Khan.

KP was knocked out for 140 runs by Sindh, who then completed the chase in 14.4 overs.

Sharjeel outdid himself in the effort to reach the required score of 140, scoring 53 runs in 36 balls, including four boundaries and an equal number of maximums. Saim, meanwhile, provided for Sindh once more by scoring 36 runs off just 24 balls.

Sohail, in contrast, was outstanding against KP, taking four wickets to dismantle their batting order while only conceding 18 runs in four overs. Omair Yousuf scored 21 runs, while captain Saud Shakeel managed to score 18. Arshad Iqbal and Mohammad Sarwar each secured one wicket for KP.

Earlier, Sindh’s bowlers put on a strong bowling performance to aid their team bowl out Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for 140 runs in 19.5 overs. Sahibzada Farhan, the team’s opener, was only able to contribute four runs before being removed from the field.

Rehan Afridi, who was his opening partner and assisted KP in reaching the championship game of the major domestic competition, came through once more for his team, striking 43 runs in 41 balls.

Apart from him, skipper Khalid Usman only managed to score 16 runs, while Mohammad Sarwar managed to score 30 runs. Sohail Khan got four wickets for Sindh, while Mir Hamza and Asif Mehmood each took home two. Zahid Mehmood, a spinner, too lost a head.
