Shazia Sarwar has been appointed as the first female district police officer (DPO) from the Balochistan province by Inspector General of Police (IG) Punjab.
Shazia Sarwar, a native of the district Bolan in the Baochistan province, has been named DPO Layyah by IG Punjab Faisal Shahkar.
Shazia Sarwar is a member of the 40th Common and has stayed stationed around the province in several regions.
In response to her appointment, IG Faisal Shahkar stated that they support the deployment of women in law enforcement and that numerous female officers are being assigned in higher-level posts.
On July 22, shortly after Rao Sardar refused to continue in his position ahead of the election for Punjab chief minister (CM), the Punjab government selected Faisal Shahkar as the next provincial inspector general (IG).
Rao Sardar Ali Khan was replaced by Faisal Shahkar, according to the notices sent out by the Establishment Division. With immediate effect, Rao Sardar was named inspector general of Pakistan Railways.
The appointment was made as a result of the Chief Secretary Kamran Afzal and the Inspector General of Punjab quitting their positions. For the position of IG Punjab, AD Khawaja, Faisal Shahkar, and Inam Ghani were serious competitors.
