In order to assess the ongoing rescue and relief efforts in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province’s flood-affected areas, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Nowshera.

PM Shehbaz Sharif will visit the flood-affected areas of Nowshera and Charsadda, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), to assess the ongoing rescue and relief efforts.

The relevant authorities would brief the prime minister on the flood damage and the relief efforts during the visit. He will visit with the flood victims in addition to inspecting the relief efforts.

Additionally, he would go to the Mohmand Dam location to receive an update on the project’s execution.

In the meantime, Taunsa Sharif will get a visit by PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz to show support for flood victims, according to a statement from Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb.

According to the irrigation department, Charsadda was not in danger of flooding. At the location of the Manda Headworks, water was moving at a rate of 32,000 cubic seconds. The Manda Headworks, which have a capacity of 200,000 cusecs, would only release a maximum of 45,000 cusecs of water today, according to the irrigation department.

The Khayali Bridge at the Swat River was carrying 61,000 cusecs of water through its 100,000 cusec capacity. According to the department, citizens should stop listening to rumors about the flooding.
