The registration process for football clubs under the ‘FIFA Connect’ program will begin in August. This process will restore the true structure of football in Pakistan and help develop the careers of Pakistani footballers.

This was revealed by Haroon Malik, Chairman of FIFA-nominated Normalization Committee in a press release issued here on Friday. According to Malik, by registering more and more players, the world will get an accurate idea of the popularity of football in Pakistan.

The Urdu version of ‘FIFA Connect’ is also in the final stages of preparation that will surely help football organizers to complete the process of registration with utmost ease.

Haroon Malik continued by saying: “Our first priority is to complete the PFF’s clean and transparent election process under the mandate given by the international body and also the registration of clubs under the ‘FIFA Connect’ program. This is the first step towards revolutionizing football in Pakistan. Through this process, talented footballers will also get ample opportunities and due recognition at national and international level.”

The organizers of football also expressed their views on this, saying that the clubs are the main stakeholders of Pakistani football and that the ‘FIFA Connect’ program will create a clear record of these nurseries working at the grassroots level.

“The players will get recognition at the global level, which will make it easier for them to participate in different international events as well as in renowned football leagues around the world.”

As footballer Muhammad Ahmed stated, registering on a large platform will invigorate the players to move ahead. The “FIFA Connect” program will give a solid foundation in organizing the entire football system in Pakistan.

Coach Saifullah stated that the entire football community is very pleased after FIFA lifted the suspension from Pakistan football and with the NC Chairman Haroon Malik’s leadership, football will be back on track soon.

He went on to say that the “FIFA Connect” program will create profiles for players, clubs, and coaches which will be recognized globally. This will in turn enhance opportunities for our players and officials and with more dedication, they will excel even further.
