The Punjab government has recommended that female teachers in public schools across the province be given electric scooters.
According to media reports, the government proposed it as a pilot project for the next fiscal budget.
The proposal pitched the Department of School Education to oversee each aspect of the project, which will only offer electric scooters to female teachers working in government schools.
It seeks to offer convenience to the beneficiaries as well as ensure fuel savings.
Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has announced a fare reduction for the Lahore Metro Bus Service. He stated that the fares had been cut in half to help daily commuters.
