PCB to invest its reserves to develop infrastructure: Ramiz Raja

Following the successful Australian tour of Pakistan last month, Pakistan’s cricket partners have shown their faith in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), as evidenced by the recent public bidding procedure.

Ramiz Raja, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, has declared that the board’s reserves had seen an unprecedented increase, with a 77 percent increase in partnership rights for bilateral home series for the 22-23 season.

“A 77 percent surge in partnership rights for bilateral Home Series for the 22-23 season is wonderful news for Pak Ckt [cricket],” Raja tweeted after TransGroup FZE received the highest offer for various partnerships rights. Our reserves have never been higher.”

A 77% surge in partnership rights for bilateral Home Series for 22-23 season is great news for Pak Ckt. Our reserves are at an historic high! We will use part of those funds to develop infrastructure for fans. As a first, Khi and Pindi stadiums will have state of the art chairs.

The top bid for different partnership rights for the next international men’s and women’s home series was TransGroup FZE, which has extensive expertise in sports advertising, marketing, event management, and productions.

In his tweet, the PCB chairman also stated that the cricket board intends to use some of the funds to upgrade fan infrastructure, including state-of-the-art chairs in Karachi and Rawalpindi stadiums.

“A portion of those funds will be used to improve fan infrastructure.” Khi and Pindi stadiums would be the first to receive state-of-the-art seats,” the former cricketer remarked.

After a long time, Pakistan is ready to welcome the 50-over World Champions England and the ICC World Test Championship champions New Zealand. Next month Pakistan will host West Indies for the three-match ODI series.
