The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) can increase the crowd capacity for the PSL 7 Lahore matches. The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) released a statement today (February 7th).

According to the Statement of NCOC (National Command and Operation Centre):

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar chaired the NCOC meeting in Islamabad. The meeting discussed the epidemic data, national vaccination progress, inbound health protocols and 2nd Phase of the PSL 7th Edition.

In the statement issued by NCOC:

“NCOC has allowed 50% capacity in PSL 7 Lahore matches with for fully vaccinated spectators till 15th of February. Moreover, The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has allowed 100% capacity for fully vaccinated spectators starting from 16 February.”

The statement also said that:

“The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) also allowed the Children under 12 years of age (un-vaccinated).”

Earlier, The PCB chairman Ramiz Raja had sent a request to NCOC. He requested to increase the crowd capacity for the second phase of PSL 7 after seeing a decline in the COVID-19 positivity ratio of the country.

Moreover, NCOC had not allowed PCB to fill more than 25% stadium capacity for Karachi PSL 7 Matches. Because Karachi was seeing an alarming rise in coronavirus cases.

Furthermore, 3 of the PSL 7 teams have already reached Lahore to participate in the 2nd phase. The 2nd phase of Pakistan Supreme League (PSL 7) will start from Feb 10.

NCOC Guidelines for Foreign and Local Travel

The NCOC meeting also took an important decision on foreign travel guidelines:

NCOC has ended Rapid Antigen Test for inbound passengers on arrival at Pakistan Airports from tomorrow (8th February). However, the Rapid Antigen Test for deportees from foreign countries will be continued. Rapid Antigen Test will also continue for non-vaccinated individuals arriving from land border terminals.
