Pakistani batter Muhammad Hasnain makes history with a maiden three-wicket debut over in the Big Bash League.

Pakistani batter Muhammad Hasnain made his Big Bash League debut with Sydney Thunder and left an incredible impact with his triple wicket-maiden debut over. The Pakistani cricketer has become the first bowler in the history of the Big Bash League (BBL) to take three wickets in the first over of the competition.

The 21-year-old took wickets on his second, third, and fifth balls giving away just 20 runs. His tremendous performance leads his team to a 28-runs victory against Adelaide Strikers.

The video of Hasnain’s spectacular over went viral on social media. Young Pakistani cricketer heaped praise from cricket fans all over the world.

“Mohammad Hasnain became the first bowler in BBL history to take three wickets in their first over in the competition,” wrote leading sports outlet, ESPN on Twitter.

“Mohammad Hasnain’s first over in Big Bash League is a maiden and produces THREE WICKETS. What a debut for the speedster from Pakistan,” wrote Pakistani sports journalist Mazher Arshad.

Besides him, three other Pakistani cricketers are also part of the Big Bash League. Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, and Fakhar Zaman.

Back in 2019, Hasnain had registered his name in the record books as the youngest player, 19, bowler to take a hat-trick in a T2OI match. The Hyderabad-born had achieved the feat in the match against Sri Lanka. In the same year, Hasnain once again grabbed the headlines due to his performances in the Pakistan Super League and Caribbean Premier League by bowling the fastest delivery records in both the leagues.

He bowled 151 km/h for the Quetta Gladiators and 155.1 km/h for Trinbago Knight Riders. English cricketer, Alex Hales said: “Thunderbolts! Love to see it! @MHasnainPak”
