The New Zealand cricket squad is set to travel in Pakistan on September 11 to play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty-Twenty-Innings (T20Is). The squad will land in Islamabad, and the first three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) will be played at Rawalpindi.

The City Traffic Police (CTP) in Rawalpindi has established a strategy from September 10 to 20 to guarantee security and steady traffic flow.

According to a CTP spokeswoman, 327 people will be deployed to redirect traffic on alternate roads as the matches will be conducted under strict security.

Cricket Stadium Road will also be blocked throughout the matches, according to the spokesman. Apart from that, Murree Road from Faizabad to Double Road would be shut tight during the origin and destination of the cricket teams from the cricket stadium.

Police also revealed a traffic diversion plan, pursuant to which all transportation from the federal capital would be redirected from Faizabad to Islamabad Expressway, while transit from Rawalpindi to Islamabad will be redirected from 6th Road Chowk to Saidpur Road.

Furthermore, transportation from Islamabad’s 9th Avenue will be detoured to I.J. Principal Drive, while Stadium Road will be blocked on both sides from 9th Avenue Chowk to Double Road.

The spokesman stated that police officers will be deployed on alternate routes to assist residents in commuting between locations within the city and that traffic police officers will also give assistance to individuals on various routes.

Citizens can visit the police’s social media accounts and listen to its radio station 88.6 for additional information regarding traffic diversion and routes, according to the acting CTO Rawalpindi, Rai Mazhar Iqbal.

People should use other routes during the matches to prevent disruption, according to Rai Mazhar.
