Zong 4G has partnered with Sehat Kahani, one of the leading telemedicine startups, to provide “thousands” of free remote and online consultations to society’s marginalized groups.

Through the Sehat Kahani Retail app, Zong will provide over 12,000 e-health consultations to impoverished people of the community. 7,000 of these consultations will be for Covid-19 relief patients, while the remaining 5,000 will be for non-Covid instances.

With medical care and the well-being of Pakistanis being Zong’s main priorities, the project also intends to raise knowledge of COVID-19. It also intends to enlighten Pakistanis about the new variations, preventative measures, pre-vaccination issues, and post-vaccination precautions.

The project will result in the production of awareness movies and live workshops, which will be distributed via Zong 4G’s official communications channels and Sehat Kahani’s social platforms.

Team Sehat Kahani will also arrange live interactive sessions that will be cross-posted/shared on Zong’s digital channels and will allow users to ask questions about Covid-19. Through voice calls, a 24-hour hotline will assist and follow-up with Covid suspects/patients.

“Our collaboration with Sehat Kahani demonstrates our dedication to improving Pakistan through digital services,” said Wang Hua, Chairman, and CEO of Zong 4G. “As Pakistan faces the fourth Covid wave, health has emerged as one of the country’s top priorities. With frequent lockdowns and limited access to primary health care, digital health is the greatest solution to the ongoing health crisis,” he continued.

“We applaud Zong’s decision to leverage our platform for the greater good and provide the advantages of telemedicine to the public, particularly the underprivileged,” said Sara Saeed Khurram, Co-Founder, and CEO of Sehat Kahani. “We are extremely delighted with this collaboration since it advances our common objective of democratizing healthcare in Pakistan via the use of telemedicine solutions.”

As per Sehat Kahani, through its 35 e-health clinics and mobile app, it has offered over 600,000 consultations and efficiently assisted over 7,000,000 persons.

The collaboration with Sehat Kahani is in keeping with Zong’s strategy and vision, with an emphasis on e-health during the epidemic. According to Zong, it would continue to engage with commercial and public sector groups in order to achieve health equity.
