WhatsApp, the mobile instant messaging software, has released a new update suggesting that the program will cease to function on older Android and Apple handsets on November 1.

After that date, outdated devices will no longer get program support and will be incompatible with WhatsApp. According to the business, support for older phones is being phased down in order to preserve the app’s best functionality for the latest devices.

According to sources, all Android phones with an operating system equal to or lower than Android 4.0.3 would no longer get support beginning in November. In the case of Apple devices, cellphones running iOS 9 and earlier would be disconnected.

Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy SII, Galaxy S3 small, Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Core, and Galaxy Ace 2 are among the other Android phones that will no longer get updates or support.
