Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.
Speaking at a joint press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, both leaders expressed determination to take Pakistan–Poland ties “to new heights,” grounded in mutual respect, equality, and shared strategic interests.
The talks focused on expanding collaboration in trade, investment, energy, mining, infrastructure, and defense, highlighting both countries’ commitment to diversify their economic engagement. Ishaq Dar emphasized that Pakistan values its longstanding friendship with Poland and is eager to build stronger institutional and business linkages.
Poland’s Foreign Minister Sikorski, thanking Pakistan for its warm hospitality, described the discussions as “fruitful and forward-looking.” He noted the signing of new Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation and fostering joint ventures in key sectors.
Sikorski also underlined Poland’s interest in developing partnerships in the mining and energy industries, areas where both nations see significant potential for technology transfer and sustainable growth.
On the global front, the two leaders exchanged views on major regional and international issues, including Kashmir and Palestine. Sikorski reaffirmed Poland’s support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while advocating for peace and stability in Gaza in line with the UN Charter.
He also expressed Poland’s aspiration for a peaceful and stable South Asia, emphasizing diplomacy and dialogue as the only path to long-term regional security.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthen political dialogue and explore new avenues for cooperation that would benefit both nations economically and strategically.
