Lahore reports 10 new dengue cases in 24 hours, total count climbs to 392 in 2025

Lahore continues to battle a persistent rise in dengue cases, with ten new infections reported in the last 24 hours, health authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

According to official data, two new patients were identified in each of the Allama Iqbal, Shalamar, and Samanabad zones. Meanwhile, one case each emerged from the Ravi, Nishtar, Data Darbar, and Gulberg zones.

This brings the city’s total number of confirmed dengue cases this year to 392, raising public health concerns as hospitals continue to accommodate a steady influx of patients.

Health officials have intensified anti-dengue measures, including fumigation campaigns, drain cleaning, and public awareness drives across high-risk areas. Citizens have been urged to eliminate stagnant water, use mosquito repellents, and report symptoms promptly to prevent further spread.

Authorities warn that continued negligence in preventive actions could lead to a surge in cases as the city transitions into cooler weather, which often favors mosquito breeding.
