Pakistani cinema lovers have reason to celebrate as Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan are all set to reunite on the big screen with their much-awaited film, Neelofar. After years of anticipation, the makers have finally unveiled the official poster and confirmed the release date — November 28, 2025. The announcement has sent waves of excitement across fans who have been waiting eagerly to see this iconic duo together once again.
The film’s first look poster captures a deeply emotional moment, showing Mahira’s character gently touching Fawad’s face, symbolizing connection and longing. The teaser opens with Fawad’s soft voice saying, “Neelofar naam hai uska” (Her name is Neelofar), instantly setting a poetic and romantic tone. The poster’s aesthetic hints at a soulful and heartfelt story that dives into themes of love, loss, and emotional vulnerability.
According to early details, Mahira Khan plays the role of Neelofar, a visually impaired woman, while Fawad Khan portrays a writer whose life becomes intertwined with hers. The film also features a stellar supporting cast, including Madiha Imam, Sarwat Gilani, Atiqa Odho, Behroz Sabzwari, Gohar Rasheed, Faisal Qureshi, and Samiya Mumtaz. Directed and written by Ammar Rasool and produced by Usaf Shariq, Neelofar also lists Fawad Khan as an executive producer, with Zeeshan “Vicky” Haider composing the music.
Interestingly, Neelofar was completed back in 2020 but faced multiple release delays due to production and scheduling challenges. After a long wait of five years, the film is finally set to hit theatres, marking a grand comeback for both Fawad and Mahira in Pakistani cinema. The on-screen chemistry between the two, previously loved in Humsafar and The Legend of Maula Jatt, is expected to recreate that same magic once again.
With its touching premise, star power, and artistic visuals, Neelofar is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Pakistani films of 2025. Fans and critics alike are eager to see how this emotionally rich story unfolds when it releases nationwide on November 28.
