Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to visit Russia in November to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of Government meeting, where leaders from all member states will convene to discuss key regional and economic priorities.

According to official sources, PM Sharif will deliver Pakistan’s address, highlighting Islamabad’s commitment to promoting trade, investment, and economic cooperation among SCO member nations. His speech will underscore Pakistan’s vision for deeper regional connectivity and sustainable growth through multilateral partnerships.

During the visit, bilateral meetings with the Russian leadership are also scheduled, where discussions will revolve around energy collaboration, trade expansion, and new investment avenues. Both sides are expected to explore long-term cooperation in agriculture, science, and technology, aimed at boosting mutual development and diversifying economic relations.

Pakistan’s active participation in the SCO reflects its ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen ties with Eurasian partners, including China, Russia, and Central Asian republics. The upcoming meeting marks another step in Islamabad’s broader strategy to enhance regional stability, energy security, and economic integration.
