DUBAI: Pakistan’s cricket stars have seen a mixed bag of results in the latest ICC T20I and ODI rankings, with bowlers making promising strides while batters suffered notable declines.

In the T20I bowling rankings, pace spearhead Haris Rauf climbed two spots to 24th with 575 points, joined by Abbas Afridi, who rose one place to 26th with 572 points. Spinner Sufiyan Muqeem and left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi also improved, moving to 33rd and 34th with 542 and 541 points, respectively.

However, spin duo Mohammad Nawaz and Abrar Ahmed slipped two and one places to 58th and 61st, while Shadab Khan fell to 73rd. At the top of the T20I bowling list, New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy remains No.1, followed by England’s Adil Rashid and West Indies’ Akeal Hosein.

In the T20I batting rankings, Pakistan’s star pair Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan—absent from T20I action since 2024—dropped one spot each to 18th and 20th. Hassan Nawaz fell to 32nd, Saim Ayub to 38th with 559 points, and opener Sahibzada Farhan to 64th. T20I captain Salman Ali Agha is now at 77th, Fakhar Zaman at 79th, and Mohammad Haris at 88th.
India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to lead T20I batting, followed by Tilak Varma in second and England’s Phil Salt in third.

On the ODI rankings front, Babar Azam’s struggles against the West Indies—scoring only 56 runs at 18.66—cost him his second-place spot. He now sits third with 751 points, behind India’s Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. ODI skipper Mohammad Rizwan dropped to 22nd, while Fakhar Zaman, recovering from injury, fell to 27th. Imam-ul-Haq and Agha Salman slipped to 37th and 41st, and Saim Ayub dropped nine spots to 46th. On a brighter note, Abdullah Shafique rose to 90th after climbing seven places.

In ODI bowling rankings, Shaheen Afridi fell to 13th, Haris Rauf to 27th, and Naseem Shah to 43rd. Abrar Ahmed improved to 54th, Mohammad Nawaz held steady at 64th, while Mohammad Wasim Jr dropped to 71st. Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana remains the top ODI bowler, followed by India’s Kuldeep Yadav and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj.
