In the T20 International (T20I) rankings, Babar continues to shine, holding the third position with 755 points. His compatriot, Mohammad Rizwan, is right behind him in fourth place with 746 points. This highlights Pakistan’s strength in the shorter format of the game, with both players being crucial to their team’s success.

England’s Joe Root remains a formidable presence across formats. Root is ranked second in the ODI rankings with 840 points and holds the fourth position in the Test rankings with 768 points. Australia’s Steve Smith follows closely in the ODI rankings, securing the fifth position with 757 points.

In other notable movements, England’s Harry Brook has advanced to the 7th place in the Test batsmen rankings after a significant three-spot rise, while his teammate Zak Crawley has moved up to the 13th position, also with a notable improvement.

On the bowling front, India’s Ravichandran Ashwin continues to dominate the Test bowlers’ rankings, holding the top position. Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi remains steady in the 9th position, reflecting his impactful performances. England’s legendary fast bowler James Anderson concluded his illustrious Test career ranked 8th, leaving a lasting legacy in the sport.

These ICC rankings updates underscore the dynamic performances and contributions of cricketers across all formats, highlighting their impact on the international stage. Babar Azam’s ascent to the top of the ODI rankings is a testament to his exceptional talent and consistency, further cementing his place among cricket’s elite.
