Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced plans to send one thousand students to China for advanced agricultural training. This announcement was made during his visit to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in Xi’an, China.

During the visit, the Prime Minister extended an invitation to the North West Agriculture and Forestry University to establish a campus in Pakistan. He also instructed Pakistan’s Ambassador to China and relevant authorities to finalize these projects with Chinese officials.

While touring the Yangling Base and the Pakistan Pavilion, Prime Minister Sharif observed various displays of Pakistani products. Interacting with Yangling Base officials, he emphasized Pakistan’s efforts to modernize its agriculture sector to boost crop yield per acre and highlighted the importance of increasing agricultural exports.

The Prime Minister was briefed on the operations at Yangling Base, learning that 26 countries are involved in agricultural research there, with Pakistan being the first to participate. He also received updates on Pakistani universities and scientists engaged in research at the base.

Additionally, Prime Minister Sharif visited a modern plant production factory, where he observed a demonstration of vertical farming methods.
