Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, and Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, convened on Thursday to devise strategies aimed at enhancing bilateral trade to $5 billion.

In a recent meeting between Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Pacaci and Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, discussions centered around bolstering bilateral relations and extending congratulations to Minister Khan on his recent appointment, as per a press release.

During their dialogue, Dr. Pacaci underscored the significance of improving connectivity between Pakistan and Turkey to reach their economic objectives, particularly the ambitious goal of elevating bilateral trade to $5 billion, a target jointly set by the leadership of both nations.

Minister Jam echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the deep-rooted historical connections and the burgeoning relations across various sectors including economic, political, defense, culture, and education.

Furthermore, Minister Jam commended the recent signing of a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) and expressed optimism regarding the expansion of trade ties through the prospective signing of additional Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in the commerce sector in the near future.
