Govt to close educational institutes till April 11

On Wednesday, the minister for education and professional training Shafqat Mahmood announced that educational institutes in areas with a high incidence of Covid-19 will remain closed till April 11.

All educational institutions will remain closed till 11th of april in all districts where corona positivity and infectivity rate is high.

He announced this while addressing a press conference after attending a meeting at the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) chaired by himself. The meeting was also attended by senior officials from the health and education department, and provincial education ministers.

Shortly after the meeting ended, the provincial governments announced the areas where schools will remain closed.

In Punjab, educational institutes will be closed in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargodha, and Sheikhupura, according to provincial education minister Murad Raas.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
All Public & Private schools of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Sargoda, Sheikhupura will remain closed till April 11th, 2021. The remaining Districts will be open on previous schedule.
