On Monday the data released by the Ministry of Commerce said that Pakistan’s exports fell by over four percent in February prior to a year ago after recording growth within the past four months

In February the export revenues fell to $2.044 billion, from $2.14 billion down to 4.5 percent in commensuration the month last year.
On the external side, this drop in exports amidst the stable rise in imports might create a problem for the government.

Commerce Advisor Abdul Razak Dawood said that Pakistan’s exports for the past five consecutive months had remained above the $2 billion mark.

However, he did not have a response regarding the monthly decline in exports.

In the new fiscal year, the exports started on a positive note but observing a precipitous decline in August 2020 of 19 percent before rebounding in September, October, and November. Further seeing growth in December and January.
