IESCO issues final notices to govt institutes for payment of electricity bills

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has issued final notices to different government institutes to clear their outstanding electricity bills.

As per details, several government institutes were asked to pay their pending bills.

The interior ministry must pay unpaid bills of Rs 8 crore 30 lac, the parliament lodges must pay Rs 11 crore 20 lac in power, and the prime minister must pay Rs 8 crore 40 lac in electricity.

The CDA, Pak Seceterate, and Cantt Seceterate are required to pay, respectively, Rs 2 billion 88 crores, Rs 68 crore 90 lac, and Rs 7 crore 90 lac.

IESO waves fuel adjustment charges on the august bill

Other govt institutions that must pay their outstanding electricity bills include WASA, the railway ministry, the federal police, and the ministry of planning. These agencies must pay, respectively, Rs. 44 billion 60 million, Rs. 14 billion 70 million, Rs. 14 billion 60 million, and Rs. 1 billion 20 million.

Also, the IESCO will cut off the electricity to these institutions if they don’t pay their unpaid electricity bills.

Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (IESCO) declared earlier this year that it will waive fuel adjustment fees for customers consuming under 300 units.
