The University of Management and Technology (UMT) is ranked first among all private universities in Pakistan according to the most recent Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 report.

13 carefully selected performance metrics are used to assess institutions based on how well they perform in four different categories:

  • Teaching
  • Research
  • Knowledge Transfer
  • International outlook

UMT, which is included in the 501-600 category and is one of the top 600 universities worldwide, was named the best private university in Pakistan. It is also significant that UMT placed second among Pakistani universities from the public and private sectors that took part in WUR 2023. A nearly flawless score for research citations, which validates UMT’s intense focus on research output, allowed UMT to accomplish its remarkable feat.

With this significant accomplishment, UMT is pleased with its exponential growth, particularly in terms of research, eminence, and overall positioning.

President UMT, Ibrahim Hasan Murad felicitated the UMT family on this remarkable achievement and said these results spoke volumes about the varsity’s focus on academic quality and research. UMT now leads as the top Pakistani private university as per THE Rankings 2023; says the President University of Management and Technology. Mr. Murad further said that the University of Management and Technology would now work towards its next goal which is to become one of the best universities in the world.
