Following the National Disaster Management Authority’s (NDMA) calls for flood relief efforts across Pakistan, Nestlé Pakistan has agreed to donate 250,000 liters of clean drinking water and 10,000 liters of milk in the second phase to support vulnerable communities affected by the devastating floods.

Earlier this month, the business sent NDMA 60,000 liters of water to aid in the flood relief efforts in Balochistan.

“Access to clean drinking water is the primary issue for people displaced by flooding across Pakistan, and that’s where we’re spending the majority of our efforts,” said Samer Chedid, CEO of Nestlé Pakistan, in a statement highlighting the efforts.

He added that the company had invited its employees to make voluntary donations for the affected communities. The donation intimations by employees would be matched 1:1 by Nestlé Pakistan.

Nestlé Pakistan will be working closely with national and provincial disaster management authorities to support them in relief work for the people and the communities affected by natural calamities.

In order to provide its clients with the much-needed food and beverage goods throughout Pakistan, the company is working nonstop. Nestlé has a strong sense of responsibility for the people in its care and the communities in which it does business, and it sees a critical role for itself in times of need.
