Parvez Elahi, the chief minister of Punjab, has stated that public educational institutions will offer free education up to graduation.
On the eve of Independence Day, the PTI-backed chief minister made the declaration while speaking at a flag-raising ceremony at Lahore Fort.
Elahi recalled that during his previous term as chief minister, he had declared free education up to the matriculation level.
He also paid rich tribute to the martyrs of armed forces and police who sacrificed their lives in defence of their motherland.
The chief minister also praised General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the COAS of the army, for his efforts to end terrorism in the nation.
