Gham-e-Ashiqui – The Pain of Love for a lover, a remembrance of the beloved soul. Love mixed with pain has always been unlocked the true dimensions of poetry. The pain, love, and agony all mastered in the verses of poetry yet need a soulful voice to convey itself. None could have sung this poetry better than Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Kamran Akhtar divulged the soul of the poetry, penned down by the exceptional Poetess ‘Parveen Shakir (Late)’.

Gham-e-Ashiqui – A Tale of Love that was Lost beneath the broken thoughts, yet explored. Parveen Shakir, being one of the most renowned romantic poetesses of her time, has made tears dwell in the eyes. The poetry she wrote was a spark inside the heart of lovers for 3 decades, now ignited by Kamran Akhar, as he composed it. Kamran Akhtar felt the strong bond with the poetry and was compelled to ask Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to voice it. Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has enlightened this poetry with true emotions, and an aura of pain and love through his mellifluous voice. The profound connection of poetry with the composition awed Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, he then voiced this masterpiece.
