In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, teams of district administration are monitoring prices of food items in Ramazan sasta bazaars.
In a recent crackdown on Charsadda road, Assistant Commissioner Peshawar Umar Owais Kiani visited the butchers’ shops to review the price of meat.
The Assistant Commissioner sealed the shops of butchers for selling meat at higher rates than official.
He also took the meat into custody and sent it to the social welfare centers.
Similarly, the teams of other district administrations also visited the local markets including Ramzan Sasta bazaars and monitored the prices of food items to ensure implementation of government rates.
