The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved provision of indigenous gas for two Urea plants with a direction to expedite the process of shifting the plants on system gas within one month.
The ECC, which met in Islamabad on Wednesday with Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin in the chair, also approved over 17 billion rupees as supplementary grant for various departments. This includes 16 billion rupees for payment of Sui Northern Gas Company Limited dues for the last month, 500 Million rupees for National Commission for Human Development, 681.046 million rupees to Ministry of Housing, 116.467 million rupees for the Interior Division and 23.309 million rupees for Heavy Electrical Complex to pay liabilities.
