Prime Minister Imran Khan is on a one-day visit to Bahawalpur Division today, where he issued the New Pakistan National Sehat Card.

He also addressed the launching ceremony of the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card Program for the Bahawalpur Division at Islamia University, Bahawalpur. He said that Rs 400 billion are being spent on Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card Program in Punjab.

The National Health Card has been issued in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Thar Parkar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The number of eligible families and individuals benefiting from the National Health Card in Punjab will increase by 63%. It includes more than 15 million people from Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Bahawalnagar districts in the Bahawalpur division.

The National Health Card is a revolutionary initiative by the government. It will enable every family to get free medical treatment up to Rs. 1 million per annum in government and selected private hospitals.

Federal Minister Khusro Makhdum addressed the launching ceremony, saying:

“Today is a historic day for South Punjab when every family from the Bahawalpur division is getting free treatment facilities up to one million. In the days to come, everyone will realize that health care is a revolution.”

Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar also addressed the launching ceremony, saying:

“Issuance of Health Card in Bahawalpur Division will benefit 63% population of Punjab. There are 100 hospital panels in South Punjab where free treatment will be available.”

“The government will provide this facility to 11.5 crore people in Punjab by the end of March, God willing.”

Address of Prime Minister to Bahawalpur Sehat Card Launch

Prime Minister Imran Khan also addressed the launching ceremony of the Sehat Card in Bahwalpur.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said in his address that:

“Universal Health Insurance is not even in the richest countries of the world but every family in Pakistan is being provided the facility of free treatment up to one million under health cards so that the state can take responsibility for the welfare of its people.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan also said in his address that:

“The corruption of past 2 leaders are famous in the world. But the world will be more amazed now, when they will find out about 4 billion rupees in the account of Maqsood Chapdasi of the PMLN leaders. While his monthly salary was only 10,000 rupees.”

Moreover, Prime Minister Imran Khan said in his address that:

“Thanks to the Health Facility Program, the private sector will now build hospitals in remote and backward areas and it is going to be a complete health system that will provide the best free medical facilities to the people.”

Furthermore, Prime Minister Imran Khan said in his address that:

“I assure the people of South Punjab that my Government will provide you all with your due share InshAllah”
