The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) tax collection reached Pkr 1.84 trillion in first 4 months of FY22, a 37% or about Pkr 500 billion increase by over first 4 months of FY21 , on the back of higher imports.
Tax collection by FBR exceeded the target of July-October FY22 of Pkr 1.6 trillion, the FBR provisionally collected Pkr 1.84 trillion, about Pkr 228 billion more than the target.
That means the annual target of Pkr 5.829 trillion is within reach.
