On Sunday, Ali Haider Zaidi, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, announced that the University of Karachi, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), SMC, and NED University will get hybrid buses from Port Qasim.
To make things simpler for workers and tourists, Ali Zaidi told media officials that the government will launch a new bus service between Port Qasim and the Karachi Port Trust (KPT). The minister claimed that bridges will be erected to enable free flow of traffic in order to address the city’s traffic problem.
The minister claims that the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) is already in the throes of an administrative crisis. The minister stated that the government intends to form Pakistan Maritime Services as a public-private partnership. The transaction will be carried out in the local currency.
