The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has declared that intermediate students whose theoretical or pragmatic examinations conflict with the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) can request a reschedule.

On Twitter on Wednesday, the PMC stated that such candidates must include a duplicate of the date sheet with their submissions, which must be filed via mdcat.pmc.gov.pk/ExaminationForm/Index.

Furthermore, individuals who show symptoms for the COVID-19 and have their MDCAT rescheduled within the next ten days will be permitted to forgo the exam if their form is completed and given in early.

Contaminated pupils must present a legitimate COVID-19 positive report from one of the defined labs, which include Shifa Laboratories (Islamabad), SKMH, Chughtai, AKU (Punjab), AKU, Indus, Chughtai, Ziauddin Hospital (Sindh), RMI, North-West Hospital, LRH (KPK), AKU, FJ Hospital (Balochistan), CMH Laboratories (Gil (AJK).

The results will be reviewed and cross-checked with the laboratories; any falsified documentation will lead in the candidate’s entry being canceled.

For affected students, the test will be rescheduled at an available time during the MDCAT timetable. If no slots are left, a customized exam will be held after the deadline.

The commission stated that the MDCAT tests for the remaining candidates across the country are on schedule and will be held between August 30 and September 30 at authorized PMC facilities both domestically and overseas.

If any MDCAT applicant wishes to transfer to an overseas center in Doha, Dubai, Riyadh, Toronto, Chicago, or London, they should send an email to [email protected].

Students have been encouraged to follow the MDCAT exam rules and to provide a printout of the roll number slip that was emailed, as well as original and valid identity papers.
